The Journey

Pre-K programs provide positive early learning experiences that help young children develop skills they need to succeed in school.
Strong Pre-K programs support increased brain development in young children so they arrive at kindergarten with a solid foundation; therefore, they are more likely to make a smooth transition into formal schooling.
There are 4 key dimensions of academic readiness:
- Language, literacy, and math skills
- Thinking skills
- Self-control
- Self-confidence
The benefits of Pre-K are not limited to test scores. Children who enroll in a high-quality Pre-K program attend school more regularly, have fewer behavior problems, and develop better reading skills.
Our Solution, Vision, Mission

Our curriculum considers the whole child, including their full range of academic, social, emotional, and physical needs. Our holistic approach takes the long view of what a child needs today to be prepared for the next few years in school, career, and life. Our curriculum is developmentally appropriate, academically rigorous, and whole child focused.
MCA wishes to empower students to become confident, productive, and successful members of our community by providing an environment that fosters a desire for learning, a spirt of service, and exceptional character by promoting academic challenges, exemplifying high ethical values, and partnering with families.
We desire to inspire excellence with a rigorous curriculum and academic support while exemplifying and encouraging the values of compassion, leadership, and service.
Mingo Creek Academy will work collaboratively with families to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed for success both inside and outside of the classroom; to prepare students for academic readiness by improving self-control, thinking skills, language, literacy, math skills and self confidence.
We believe in the power of soliciting financial and community support from donors, sponsors, grants, and fundraising events to provide all underserved, rural area families as an opportunity to enroll, despite their inability to pay.
